The FLEETMIX A30G Agitator Conversion was conceived from an idea to provide a cost effective solution for mining operations to move concrete both efficiently and safely around the mine site. Previously, concrete was taken around sites by road-style vehicles, unsuitable for the mining environment and not fit for purpose, ultimately leading to safety and efficiency issues and incidents. Inadequate systems, particularly braking systems, cause losses to productivity, operator injuries, and, in turn, an increase in operating costs.

While other purpose-built concrete trucks for underground applications currently exist in the market, many are slow and cumbersome, and they have no residual value at the end of their lifecycle due to the ad-hoc modifications made to the OEM truck to convert it for underground use.

The FLEETMIX concept centers around making only minimal changes to the original body of the truck and its systems or key functionality, thereby leaving better residual value and the ability to change the truck back at the end of its mining life cycle. The rear system can also be removed from the truck body and reattached to a new truck, meaning the cost of replacement is far lower.
